Reuben Gobezie, MD - Founder & Chief Of Surgery
Dr. Reuben Gobezie, M.D., Founding Director and Chief of Surgery at Cleveland Shoulder Institute, is a nationally and internationally recognized shoulder specialist known for his high-volume surgical expertise, innovative treatment methods, and leadership in advanced shoulder care. A graduate of Harvard Medical School, he completed his residency through the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program before pursuing advanced fellowship training in shoulder and elbow surgery, also at Harvard.
Dr. Gobezie is a member of the invitation-only American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. His honors include recognition as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor, multiple Patients’ Choice Awards, and the prestigious Charles S. Neer Award for excellence in shoulder research. Dr. Gobezie has authored and presented research nationally and internationally and contributed to advancements in minimally invasive shoulder surgery techniques.
